Mount Athos is also known as the "Virgin Mary's Garden" and is a holy land for the Christian Orthodox faith.

It is an independent monastic state inhabited by monks for over a thousand years. These monks observe the rules of the Orthodox Church and the Byzantine traditions.

The pirate boat takes you on a journey through time along the shores of Mount Athos, where you can admire the unique scenery and magnificent architecture of the monasteries. The cruise will take you to see eight monasteries on the west coast of the Athos peninsula. You will have the opportunity to listen to their unique history and, if you're lucky, even see dolphins!

The route includes a stop in the beautiful Ouranoupolis, where you can enjoy lunch or take a swim.

Program

At 9:15 AM, the boat departs from the port of Ormos Panagias in Sithonia towards the southernmost end of Mount Athos Peninsula.

During the boat ride, there will be a guided tour to the eight monasteries present on the west coast, where the history of Mount Athos and the life of the monks will be explained in detail.

At 1:30 PM, the boat will arrive at Ouranoupolis and passengers will be given free time to explore.

The boat will depart from Ouranoupolis at 3:30 PM.

At 5:00 PM, the boat will return to Ormos Panagias.
